Showcasing 71 solutions for healthy lands and waters
We invite you to think about a child you know, and the world that they’re inheriting. Will they grow up in a world with healthy lands and waters? That’s why we’ll need to have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, nutritious food to eat, community safety from sea level rise and catastrophic wildfire, and places for outdoor recreation and enjoyment.
The good news is that we know what we can do to create and sustain healthy lands and waters.
Our second invitation is to read this Showcase of Solutions and see the possibilities of how we can create that healthy and sustainable future, with real projects that need public funding over the next five years.
In this colorful, hopeful selection of solutions you will find:
- 71 projects located across the 10 counties of the San Francisco Bay Area
- 30 organizations who led these projects and their contact information
- ~$700 million needed in public funding to realize the multiple benefits of these projects
- 68% of the projects need capital funding that the Climate Bond can provide. The remaining projects need more flexible public funding, such as the General Fund or the Green Gas Reduction Fund.
Our third invitation is to get in touch with the project leaders directly. Their contact information is intentionally included so that you can learn more, take a tour, get out on the land, and help make these projects happen. Let’s work together to make these projects a reality.
