It’s Time To Come Together

We are experiencing multiple crises. TOGETHER Bay Area and our 80 member organizations are responding. We are serving as a regional voice to tell the story of how climate resilient projects are being impacted, hosting the Together Conference in May and events this fall, connecting job seekers with hiring organizations on our Jobs Board, sharing information about funding opportunities like Prop 4 Climate Bond, continuing to advocate for regional funding, and more.

The natural world needs us right now. While it give us food and clean water and spaces for recreation and rejuvenation, we need to take care of it. Protect it from destruction. Steward the lands with respect and reciprocity. Implement nature-based and equity-centered solutions to the climate and biodiversity crises. Check out all the ways that TOGETHER Bay Area members are caring for natural places and communities of people, plants, and animals.

This is the time to come together. It’s the time to think creatively about how we work for healthy lands, people, and communities. It’s the time to advocate. You can be a part of something positive, inclusive, and impactful. Join us!

What YOUR ORGANIZATION can do
Don’t stop

In February and June 2025, we surveyed TOGETHER Bay Area members and partner organizations about the real and potential consequences of recent executive and secretarial orders. All of the respondents are on-the-ground implementers of climate resilience projects and programs working in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are place-based organizations working for healthy lands, waters, and communities.

From 39 organizations we heard:

  • There is a significant financial impact. There is at least $60.5 million in funding for local projects that is currently threatened, frozen, or uncertain.
  • There is a significant community impact. Orders about federal funding, workforce reduction, actions about immigration, and statements about diversity, equity, and inclusion are causing fear and anxiety.
  • There are significant project delays due to the federal workforce reduction and associated low morale and anxiety slowing down critical work.
  • Respondents called for regional collaboration and convening to develop and deliver local solutions and resource sharing.

Because of federal orders:

and other climate resilience projects
are

People are experiencing
