TOGETHERing in Sacramento
In case we haven’t said it enough, now is the time for community building and bridge building. It’s the time to implement solutions to the climate and biodiversity crises. It’s the time to restore and heal. It’s the time to create, generate, and regenerate. It’s the time to get outside and get connected to this big and beautiful planet we live on. It’s the time to move fast and efficiently. It’s the time to slow down to build trust, to watch a butterfly or a hummingbird, to just be.
The good news is that this is what TOGETHER Bay Area members and partners do. It’s who we are. This is work that we’re doing now, and this is the work that we need to keep doing.
Yesterday, our coalition put on our “regional hats” and spent the day meeting with 20 legislators and staff. We talked about our 2025 policy priorities, the impacts of the federal orders, and the importance of Proposition 4 / Climate Bond funds. We built relationships and made connections. And we had fun! Our enthusiastic thanks to all of you who participated.
If you’re interested in collaborating with us in our regional advocacy efforts through our Policy Committee and TOGETHER in Sacramento days like these, reach out! We welcome any staff or board member of TOGETHER member organizations to email us at [email protected] and join us in collective action as an antidote, and necessity, in times of uncertainty.
