New Right Relations Cohort Announced!

Right Relations is a 9-month, cohort-based program that supports alliances with local Native American communities through learning, action, and community. We are catalyzing collective action for healthy lands, people, and communities and building the region’s capacity to strengthen Tribal sovereignty. This program is designed specifically for TOGETHER Bay Area members in partnership with Redbud Resource Group.

We’re excited to share that in November, we’ll open applications for TOGETHER member organizations to be part of a new year of Right Relations. In Phase 1, 15 TOGETHER members will learn and grow individually, organizationally, and collectively through curated experiences. Participating organizations will develop action plans for your organization and build relationships with peers around the region at workshops, roundtable discussions, field trips, and debrief sessions that are held online and in person.

We’ll also continue the community building, learning, and action for the 16 organizations who participated in our pilot Right Relations program last year. Phase 2 will focus on the organizations’ action plans, providing resources and support, and building community amongst participants. In addition, there will be multiple opportunities for learning new material not covered in Phase One.

Learn more about how to apply here. Applications will be due by December 8, 2023.

In addition, Redbud Resource Group has launched Restoring Right Relations, a 12-month leadership program for California Native community members who want to build leadership skills, grow positive relationships within Indian country, and develop skills for implementing projects in their communities.

Funding for Right Relations in 2024 has been generously provided by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
